29th Annual Alpen Wine Fest

Popular wine festival returns to support Can Do Multiple Sclerosis Foundation

[Olympic Valley, Calif.] - The Village at Squaw Valley continues its longstanding tradition of raising a glass to Labor Day weekend with the 29th Annual Alpen Wine Fest.

A favorite festival for locals and visitors alike, wine enthusiasts at this year's festival can sample a variety of wines from Northern California wine country.

"Labor Day Weekend is one of the best weekends to spend in the Tahoe area with beautiful weather, and activities and events for all ages. We look forward to welcoming locals and visitors to our annual Alpen Wine Fest," said Caroline Ross, executive director of the Squaw Village Neighbourhood Company. "Supporting Can Do Multiple Sclerosis is an honor, and we look forward to continuing the tradition with a glass of wine."

The 29th Annual Alpen Wine Fest returns on Sunday, September 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and features wine tasting, live music from Justin Ancheta, Honey of the Heart, Milton Merlos, and Heather Normandale, with a silent auction and raffle in the Base Camp Conference Room, with proceeds going toward providing wellness and education for people living with Multiple Sclerosis.

The event is open to the public and those under 21 years of age, however entry to participate in the wine tasting is $40 in advance at or $50 day of the event.

Participants over 21 receive a crystal souvenir wine glass and unlimited tastings from over 30 vineyards from across the Northern California region.

Participating wineries include: Ancient Peaks Winery, Balvernre Wines, Banville Wine Merchants, Bjorn Vineyards, Blackbird Vineyards, Boeger Winery, Chappellet, Clos La Chance Winery, Dutton Goldfield Winery, Foxen Winery, Hand Picked Selections, Heitz Cellar, Highway 12 Winery, Illanta Wines, La Follette Wines, Lang & Reed Wine Company, Liquid Farm, Leonardo, Locascio Selections, Lola Wines, Lumen Wine Co, Mauritson Wines, Mcevoy Ranch, Mcprice Myers, Venge Vineyards, Moinz Family Wines, Morgan Winery, Mt. Beautiful Winery, Naughty Boy Vineyards, Pavi Wines, Quivira Wine, Red Car Wine, Round Pond Estate, The San Francisco Wine Exchange, Robert Stemmler Winery, Textbook Vineyards, Venge Vineyards, and Vias Imports.
