150 volunteers completing neighborhood improvements in Del Paso Heights!
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2017
NeighborWorks HomeOwnership Center Sacramento Region will hold our 28th annual Paint the Town event on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. on Clay Street between Grand Ave. and South Ave.
Over the last 27 years, NeighborWorks Sacramento has completed painting and home improvement projects on more than 400 homes throughout North and South Sacramento, tapping into tens of thousands of hours of support from volunteers!
The day will be full of activity as more than150 volunteers work together to give a face-lift to Clay Street in Del Paso Heights. We'll be completing more than 15 home improvement projects, including painting homes, landscaping yards, painting and fixing fences and completing home repairs. The participants are long-time residents of the neighborhood, and are very appreciative of the support provided through Paint the Town. One of our participating home-owners was born and raised in Laos. At the age of 23, she moved to the United States to give her daughter a better life and work for a better future for her family. She has been living in Sacramento for more than 25 years. She shares that "Sacramento is where I've built this wonderful life with both my daughter and husband. I believe we can make Sacramento a better place. Thank you to Paint the Town Sponsors and their volunteers in helping the community achieving that goal!"
