Barktoberfest in Roseville



Barktoberfest, a festival for canines and their well-behaved human companions

If you thought Oktoberfest was fun, wait until you experience Barktoberfest. This event, now in its 7th year, features a free family festival, and ticketed entry into the 2.5k/5k Fun Run and Biergarten (must be 21+ to participate in the Biergarten) with all proceeds benefiting the Placer SPCA.

Activities include costume contests, food trucks, music, dog friendly activities, and more. Leashed companions are welcomed. Human and canine costumes are encouraged.

WHEN: Sunday, October 8, 2016
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.*

*Fun Run/Walk registration and check-in begins at 8 a.m.

8:40am - Fun Run warm-ups begin with Placer SPCA Mascot and Derek Teel from Dialed Health

10:00am - Starfleet Demo I begins
10:15am - Best Dressed Contest begins
10:30am - Best Pet Trick begins
11:00am - Biergarten opens
11:30am - Roseville Police K9 Demo I begins
12:00pm - Starfleet Demo II begins
1:30pm - Roseville Police K9 Demo II begins
2:00pm - Starfleet Demo III begins
2:45pm - Raffle winners announced
3:00pm - Event concludes

COST:
Community Festival is free to attend.
2.5k/5k Fun Run is $25 for adults, $15 for ages 13-17, and free for children under 12.
Biergarten entry is $25 and includes unlimited beer tasting for those 21+.

Combined Fun Run and Biergarten ticket is $40 (best value).
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Tickets and information are available at www.placerspca.org/barktoberfest.

WHY: The Placer SPCA is an independent local nonprofit organization. Proceeds from Barktoberfest will help Placer SPCA continue its work in enhancing the lives of companion animals and people through its programs and services.
