A Jazz Recital in Rocklin

ROCKLIN - The Sierra College Music Department is proud to present a Jazz Recital on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 7:30pm in Room D-12 in Walker Hall (Music Building) on the Sierra College Rocklin Campus. Special guest for the evening is the Tim Stephenson Trio, featuring Jason Galbraith.

Professor Greg McLaughlin and the Sierra College Jazz Improvisation Workshop will present an intimate evening of jazz and popular music from the American Songbook. Pieces to be performed include "All The Things You Are," by Jerome Kern, "Nardis," by Miles Davis, "Desafinado," by Antonio Carlos Jobim, and "Lullaby of Birdland," by George Shearing.


Tim Stephenson is a Sacramento based jazz percussionist and music teacher specializing in live performance and studio work. In an educational setting, Tim had the opportunity to share the stage with Donny McCaslin, Wayne Bergeron, Dave Pietro, Rick Shaw, Jim Snidero, Wycliffe Gordon, Nancy King and Joe Gilman. He was also featured with the Sacramento State Jazz Singers on the Epic Records release: "Ben Folds Presents - University A Cappella," and performed with Ben Folds as a backup singer in 2009.


The Sierra College Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin CA.

Admission for this concert is $8 student/senior and $12 general. Tickets are available at the door. All proceeds benefit the Sierra College Music Department.

There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines located within the campus parking lot.
