John Muir Presentations at Sierra College4/26/2013
The culminating events of the week-long Earth Day festivities at Sierra College are two
back-to-back performances that each feature California's famous John Muir -- a lecture by Muir's great-great-grandson followed by a one-man stage performance by renowned actor Lee Stetson as John Muir.
These special presentations will be held on Friday, April 26, at the Sierra College Rocklin Campus, located at 5000 Rocklin Road.
Beginning at 5 PM with an intimate look at John Muir's life, Robert Hanna, great-great-grandson of Muir will present an illustrated lecture entitled "Growing Up Muir." Hanna's famous relative came to California from Scotland via Wisconsin.
Following the Hanna presentation, at 7:30PM, will be the annual Earth Day Muir play by renowned John Muir impersonator Lee Stetson.
Performing for his 21st year at Sierra College, award-winning actor Lee Stetson will perform "John Muir Among the Animals."
Seating is limited for the Robert Hanna performance with picnic dinner.
