Napa ValleyThis rich and fertile stretch of valley, a little over 35 miles in length, is home to over 150 wineries most of which line Highway 29.
Many of the large wineries such as the Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakdale and Inglenook Napa Valley in Rutherford offer guided tours of their facilities including the underground limestone caves and storage casks. And yes, you can taste. Some wineries charge for tasting and others do not. Most visitors will find wine tasting is both enjoyable and educational.
