Free Seminar Targets Sexting, Child and Teen Pornography
Roseville, CA -- Life Community Church is hosting a seminar entitled "Sexting and child and teen pornography.what's a parent to do?" on Sunday, April 27 from 2p.m. to 5 p.m. at its facilities, 10020 Foothills Blvd., Roseville.
The event will feature world-renowned experts and local educators and law enforcement representatives who will address how to help our kids navigate an inceasingly sexualized culture. The seminar will include an open forum during which participants can ask questions.
Jenny Willamson, founder of Courage WorldWide, a Sacramento nonprofit dedicated to the prevention of sex trafficking and the care of survivors, will share her insights at the event. We will also have a panel of community leaders, law enforecement and adolscent experts to provide much needed tools for our families.
"Unforntuately, sexting and pornography are realities in the lifes of today's youth. By attending this seminar, parents can learn more about the phenomenon and garner techniques to speak to their children about the issues," said Chuck Wysong, senior pastor at Life Community Church. "Allowing the youth in our community to go it alone on this issue is not a practical option. We'd like to have as many parents as possible attend so that they can confidently start a conversation about the prevalence, and harm of sexting and pornography."
The seminar is open to adults 18 and over.
