About Fraternal Order of Eagles
The Roseville chapter of the Fraternal Order of Eagles was chartered in March of 1907.At one time the membership in the Roseville Eagles numbered in the hundreds. The railroad was the major source of employment in the area and apparently the Forman of the railroad required all the men to join the Eagles and deducted their dues from their weekly paychecks. Many of the town leaders, including the Chief of Police were members. The Saturday night dinners and dances were the center of the social scene in Roseville for many years.
