Free Election Forum in Rocklin October 18th
ROCKLIN, CA., - William Jessup University's Public Policy Institute will host a 2012 Election Forum to provide voters with information about candidates and issues for the November elections.
The forum will be held on Thursday, October 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. in WJU's Bernardoni Lecture Hall. The event includes a candidate forum focusing on regional issues and featuring a number of candidates running for local offices from 6-7:30 p.m.
The event will also include a proposition forum to review the various ballot initiatives for this election year. In particular, the university will host representatives of both sides of the issues for proposition 30 (temporary tax for education funding), Proposition 34 (the death penalty in California) and Proposition 37 (required labeling for genetically modified foods).
The forums will also provide voter registration as well and information materials regarding the candidates and issues.
The event is free and open to the public.
