On 10-07-2012, at approximately 07:20 AM, Rocklin Police officers stopped a suspicious vehicle in the area of Granite Drive and Sierra Meadows Drive.  There were two female occupants of the vehicle.  Officers quickly discovered the driver was driving on a suspended license and had warrants for her arrest.

Inside of the suspect vehicle, officers located mail that had been stolen from throughout Placer County.  It appears the suspects had taken the personal mail from residents of Meadow Vista, Colfax, and Applegate.  Additionally, inside of the vehicle officers found drug paraphernalia and burglary tools.  The two female suspects were booked at the Placer County Jail.

Officers contacted an Inspector with the US Postal Service and a joint investigation has begun.  The Rocklin Police Department encourages citizens who believe they have been the victim of mail theft to contact their local law enforcement agency.
