Pride Days in Rocklin November 6-8

Rocklin--According to "Youth Development Current Trends," gay, lesbian or bisexual students were over five times more likely to have attempted suicide in the past year and over three times more likely to miss or be threatened at school in the past three months. Sierra College decided to do something about it and has become a statewide leader in LGBTIQ advocacy as a result.

On Tuesday November 6 through Thursday, November 8, Sierra College Rocklin Campus will Host Pride Days. This is a three day educational event, tied closely to college curricula, that seeks to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for Sierra's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer students as well as rich, academic and cultural learning opportunities for all students. Pride Days is a FREE event, and the public is welcome and encouraged to come.

During this three day event, the Sierra College Campus will be offering many presentations, movies, and live entertainment. Campus clubs and community organizations will be tabling throughout the Campus Quad. Use this link to view the schedule of events planned for Pride Days:  http://www.sierracollege.edu/events/unique-events/pride-days.php

The Sierra College Rocklin Campus is located at 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin CA.  There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits can be purchased at machines located within the campus parking lot.
