Rocklin Holiday Tree Lighting December 8th
Rocklin, CA - The annual Rocklin Holiday Tree Lighting will take place this Saturday, December 8th at the historic St Mary's Chapel located near Rocklin's train platform at Front Street and Rocklin Road.
St. Mary's Chapel is Rocklin's oldest public building. Rocklin Catholics built Saint Mary's in 1882-83 on an oak-framed lot donated by pioneer Irish land developer James Bolton in 1882. EMC applied to the city of Rocklin to demolish it back in 2002. Local residents banded together to move, preserve and restore St. Mary's. Restored in stunning and detailed fashion, St. Mary's now hosts events, including weddings throughout the year.
The community is invited to celebrate the holiday season with family and friends on historic Front Street in Rocklin. Bring the kids for a fun filled time with a mini parade, Santa & photos, face painting, hot dogs, cookies, hot chocolate, train & wagon rides, caroling, performances by school and church musical groups and the Tree Lighting.
