On August 15, 2012, at approximately 8:40 PM, Rocklin Police responded to the El Mariachi Restaurant at 1240 Sunset Blvd Ste# 700 on a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.  It was reported that a white male believed to be in his 20's entered the business with a white handkerchief over his face. The suspect showed the employee behind the counter a black handgun that was in his waistband and demanded money. The suspect took cash and fled on foot in a northwestern direction across the shopping center's parking lot and towards the back of the Strikes Family Entertainment Center which is located on Lonetree Blvd.

After an extensive investigation that included the assistance of the Roseville Police Department, Justin Zinman (24 years old of Rocklin) was arrested on 12-15-2012 for the El Mariachi robbery and unrelated drug charges.  Zinman was booked into the Roseville Jail and subsequently transferred to the Placer County Jail where he is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
