Michael Moore Hateful and Unpatriotic?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -Move America Forward (MAF), the nation's largest grassroots pro-troops organization, joined thousands of pro-troop supporters around the country to condemn the blog posted by Michael Moore on Huffington Post "Stop saying I Support the Troops." Encouraging his readers to stop supporting our troops is offensive to every serviceman or military family who has sacrificed for our country.

"I think Moore's comments shows that despite his documentaries, which are full of misleading facts, logical fallacies, and outright lies, he is actually capable of being honest. He does not support the troops and never has." says Debbie Lee, whose son Marc Alan Lee was the first Navy SEAL to be killed in the war in Iraq in 2006. Michael Moore has attacked and degraded the Iraq war and Debbie feels that Moore's comments are a personal insult to her own son's sacrifice as well as all those who served honorably in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"As a mother whose son died in the Iraq war, I am very offended when people like Moore say they support the troops but that the war is illegal, or it's a war for oil. My son didn't die for any of those things, he died to protect his team, his country and to give the Iraqi people a better way of life."

"When Moore says such hateful things and then claims to 'support the troops, not the war' It just confirms in my mind that he hates the troops, does not stand for them, and has no patriotism." says Lee.

Debbie's son Marc A. Lee was killed in combat in Ramadi, Iraq in on August 2nd, 2006. His actions resulted in saving the life of his entire team, including one team member who had life threatening injuries. For his actions, Marc was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with Valor, and the Silver Star.

Move America Forward, a registered 501(c)(3) charity, based in Sacramento, supports our troops and their missions in the war on terror. Move America Forward is supported by hundreds of thousands of pro-troop activists, veterans and military families across the nation. To date, they have shipped over 300 tons of care packages to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
