Neighborhood Crime Notification Available in Placer County

Residents who live in the Placer County Sheriff Office's jurisdiction may now sign up to receive notification of crimes that occurred in their neighborhoods.

Sign up is available online http://www.crimemapping.com/ Citizens may sign up to receive crime alerts to keep abreast of crimes occurring up to a two-mile radius of their homes.

The Sheriff's Office, through Crimemapping.com, provides public access to crime information for unincorporated Placer County, the City of Colfax and the Township of Loomis. It is updated regularly with public information about certain types of crime reports. Search for an address and select the crime types and date range you want to see, or view all crimes in the jurisdiction.

Crimemapping.com also provides a free mobile app for iPhones.
