Roseville, California- Jennifer Martin's novel, The Huna Warrior: The Magic Begins, has won a nomination for a Global Ebook Award in the category of Best Inspirational/Visionary fiction.

A supernatural thriller and a bronze-medal award winner as Best Visionary Fiction given by the Independent Publishers of America in 2007, The Huna Warrior plunges the reader into the enigmatic world of the ancient Hawaiian kahunas and Kat Romero's discovery that she has inherited their mystical powers.

In addition to writing stories in the New York Times best-selling Chicken Soup for the Soul series, Martin co-authored, with Rosemary Dean, The Angels Speak: Secrets from the Other Side. She also has authored five screenplays, winning, among other awards, the Gold Kahuna Award at the 2011 Honolulu Film Awards for The Hunatics, a story about three teenagers learning to become kahunas in Maui.

The Global Ebook Awards honor and bring attention to the future of book publishing: Ebooks. Now in its second year, the Awards are in 72 specific categories. They are open to all publishers large and small so that a winner is the best in its category, not just the best of small or regionally-published ebooks. Most ebooks are also available as printed books as well.

The Huna Warrior: The Magic Begins is available at most book stores and online at Amazon.com and Smashwords.com. Readers are invited to go to www.hunawarrior.com to learn more.
