Roseville to Host Western Cup Regional Quidditch Tournament

The 2013 Western Cup Regional Quidditch Tournament will be descending on Roseville this February. Twenty teams representing schools and cities from all over the Western United States and Canada are coming to play two days packed with action, excitement, and magical fun at Maidu Regional Park on February 16th and 17th.

"Muggle Quidditch" is adapted from JK Rowling's Harry Potter novels and movies, and it is every bit as intense and thrilling as the matches from the series. Don't believe it? Check out this video from the 2012 Western Cup championship match:

The event is family-friendly, free and open to the public and features live entertainment between games. The matches will be announced live, with food and beverages for sale. There will be entertainment between matches and chances for all of the spectators to see how they fare on a broom. It's also a chance to catch some of the biggest rivalries on the West Coast: Stanford and Cal will battle it out, UCLA is looking for a re-match after USC beat them in the finals last year.. You won't want to miss these and other awesome matchups during two full days of head-to-head gameplay. More information can be found at our website: http://internationalquidditch.org/western-cup/
