Placer County Sheriff's deputies are looking for the owners of stolen property that was found during the arrest of three burglars in Loomis early this morning.

At 4 p.m. Thursday, the burglars were attempting to steal property from in front of a home in the 7500 block of Barton Road when the homeowners saw them and called 911. When deputies arrived, the burglars were gone, but based on a description of their vehicle and of the burglars themselves, deputies believed they knew the suspects. Photo line-ups were conducted and the victim's recognized the suspects.

Deputies went to two Loomis addresses early this morning and arrested Trevor E. Lewis, 20, Richard E. Burns, 34, and Mark Allen Cox, 19. A large amount of stolen property was found, including power tools and lawn equipment. Anyone who has had these types of equipment stolen recently, most likely from the rural Lincoln/Sheridan areas, is asked to call Sgt. Brian Whigam at (530) 889-7856.

Lewis, Burns and Cox were booked at the Placer County Jail on multiple charges, including burglary, receiving stolen property and conspiracy. Burns has been released, while Cox's bail   is set at $50,000 and Lewis's bail is set at $125,000.
