Rocklin Police Arrest Sexual Predator Suspect
Jacob Mora, 29 years, of Citrus Heights was arrested on Monday on a Ramey Warrant at his home.
The arrest came after Rocklin Police were notified that a 14 year old female victim was involved in sexting and then in sexual activity with a 29 year old male. The investigation revealed that the girl had first sent explicit photos of herself to the male via cell phones and had received photos from the male as well. Subsequently the female and male met for physical relations.
Mora had established himself with his profile picture in several apps such as KIK, WHATSUP, and MEETME. Using those apps, he would send text messages and pictures of his genitals seeking a sexting relationship with underage females.
After a time he would try to establish a physical sexual relationship with his victims. This is what occurred with the Rocklin victim.
Investigators believe that Mora specifically targeted underage victims based upon their app profile pictures and may have been doing so for several years. Additional victims might recognize Mora from his app profile picture are encouraged to contact Rocklin Police detectives.
Parents are asked to be diligent in monitoring the cell phones of their minor children. Know which apps they have and who they are communicating with.
NOTE: "Ramey Warrant" is a term used to describe an arrest warrant issued prior to the filing of a criminal case against a specific defendant.
