Rocklin DUI Checkpoint Results

dui-checkpoint.jpg

The Rocklin DUI checkpoint this past Saturday night on Stanford Ranch Road between Plaza Drive and Sunset Boulevard was deemed a huge success by the Rocklin Police Department.

In addition to removing DUI drivers from our roadways, another big objective of holding a DUI checkpoint is to educate the public on the hazards of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Saturday night's Rocklin DUI checkpoint results

  •  870 vehicles passed through
  • 25 drivers screened
  • 7 Field Sobriety Test (FST's) administered
  • 1 arrest for DUI
  • 1 vehicle towed
  • 10 citations issued (7 cites for suspended CDL's, 3 for possession of marijuana).

This Avoid-the-7 DUI checkpoint was grant-funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), and included law enforcement agencies from throughout Placer County, which are committed to savings lives by removing DUI drivers from our roadways.

The Rocklin Police would like to remind people of the senselessness of DUI of alcohol or drugs.
