1 Killed in Roseville Shooting on Hickory Street
An argument between roommates escalated into a fatal shooting on Hickory Street in Roseville this afternoon.
At 3:15 p.m. today (Monday, September 30), Roseville Police Department officers responded to calls of shots fired at a home in the 100 block of Hickory Street.
When officers arrived, they found one of the residents, a 54-year-old man, down in the front yard
of the home with gunshot wounds. Roseville Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim's roommate, a 48-year-old man, was taken into custody at the scene without incident. Officers determined that an argument between the roommates escalated, until the suspect shot the victim with a handgun.
Officers and crime scene investigators are continuing their work at the scene. No names are being released at this time, pending notification of the victim's family.
