Jessup to Host Gala Fundraiser for Student Scholarships
ROCKLIN, CA. - William Jessup University will host the Jessup Gala on Saturday, November 2 from 6-9 p.m. The festivities raise funds for student scholarships.
This year, the Jessup Gala will celebrate the Fusion of Faith and Art. The event features entertainment from internationally known artist, Joe Castillo of America's Got Talent as he shares his epic stories of live art, with the Jessup community.
Castillo is a Christian artist who has mastered the ability to share stories that inspire, motivate and touch the heart. After 20 years in advertising, Castillo returned to school and received his Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.
The festivities also honor Mikuni Owner and Master Chef, Taro Arai with the 2013 Impact Award recognizing his entrepreneurial and philanthropic efforts in the Sacramento region and beyond.
With a community-focused philosophy, the Mikuni Charitable Foundation has raised funds for schools, churches and charities during their signature fundraising events. "We place particular emphasis on giving back to the communities that support us," said Derrick Fong, Chairman of the Board of Mikuni Restaurant Group, Inc. "If we can do our part to enrich the lives of the people who live here, our common bonds are strengthened. We want our neighbors to know that we are all part of one family."
Jessup's President, John Jackson will share his vision for the growing university as a Christ-centered liberal arts university, as it continues to develop and deliver innovative new programs to the Sacramento region and beyond.
Throughout the evening, guests also have the opportunity to bid on a menagerie of desirable items during the silent auction.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $150. Evening attire is suggested.
