Social Media Super Summit in Roseville November 5th
ROSEVILLE - Not too long ago, some businesses wondered whether social media was a fad that would pass.
Today, few are asking such a question. Instead, businesses are looking for simple, straight-forward ways to properly use social media to build their brands - and sales.
On Tuesday, Nov. 5, leaders from four Sacramento area marketing organizations will share insights on how to effectively and efficiently use social media.
The Social Media Super Summit is sponsored by the Northeastern California Small Business Development Center - Greater Sacramento/Sierra, Constant Contact and local chambers of commerce serving Placer and Sacramento counties. Brandman University in Roseville, located at 3001 Lava Ridge Court, is hosting the event.
The summit begins at 11 a.m. with networking and refreshments followed by a free presentation on the right strategies, tools, and tactics to market a small business. In addition, attendees will be able to sign up for special breakout sessions on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn at a cost of just $10, with all breakout fees going to A Touch of Understanding, a Roseville-based non-profit organization that provides disability awareness programs to encourage understanding of the challenges associated with disabilities.
The program will feature:
- Maureen Dudley, Owner of Dudley & Nunez Communications. Dudley is a seasoned speaker and has taught hundreds of people about email and social media marketing best practices through her seminars. She specializes in writing, consulting, and helping clients with Constant Contact.
- Meg Getchel, Chief Marketing Strategist for Limelight Local. Getchel provides social media training and digital marketing management to small business owners, event organizers and non-profits. She will lead the Facebook breakout session, "5 Facebook Strategies that Will Grow Your Business (Even On a Shoestring Budget)."
- Melissa Washington, Owner of SmartNet Strategies. Washington is dubbed the "Lord of LinkedIn" and specializes in providing LinkedIn training for individuals and organizations. She will speak on how to maintain your online professional presence using LinkedIn.
- Bill Halldin, owner of Halldin Public Relations. Halldin specializes in the integration of media relations and social media for businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations. His breakout session will teach how every business can benefit from Twitter - even without tweeting a word.
This summit is a joint partnership between Halldin Public Relations and Dudley & Nunez Communications.
"We are excited to be able to offer this program to business leaders in the region, in partnership with Constant Contact, the SBDC, Brandman University and our local chambers of commerce," said event organizer Maureen Dudley. "Businesses know the importance of social media, but we frequently hear that they don't know how to best utilize it for their organizations. The Social Media Super Summit will provide tangible steps to use social media and email marketing as customer engagement tools."
Seating is limited and registration for the Summit is required. To register, please go to http://ow.ly/paCWU.
