Roseville Galleria, Kids Wish Network Give Team Up for Local Girl

International children's charity Kids Wish Network commended the generosity of The Roseville Galleria Mall on their partnership to provide 10- year-old Arieauna, who suffers from Type 1 Diabetes, a fun filled day of shopping. Kids Wish Network is dedicated to infusing hope, creating happy memories, and improving the quality of life for children having experienced life-altering situations.

"We are so appreciative of our generous partners who help us put smiles on the faces of young children struggling with life-altering circumstances," said Kids Wish Network Executive Director Anna Lanzatella.

At the age of 9, Arieauna suddenly developed severe fatigue and other flu like symptoms. After collapsing and regaining consciousness in the ICU, doctors spent the next 5 days running a battery of tests before diagnosing Arieauna with diabetic ketoacidosis, a buildup of toxic acids in the bloodstream caused from untreated type 1 diabetes.  Type 1diabetes is a chronic condition in which the pancreas produces little or no insulin, a hormone needed to allow sugar to enter cells to produce energy. Arieauna must now receive daily insulin injections and is prone to seizures.

Kids Wish Network has been making dreams come true for hundreds of thousands of children nationwide for over 16 years. When given the opportunity to have a wish granted, Arieauna quickly requested a day to feel like a princess. With the assistance of The Roseville Galleria Mall, Arieauna will able to have her very own special day and shop to her heart's content.

"I couldn't believe that this was happening. I absolutely loved Build-A- Bear Workshop and Esther's Cupcakes were out of this world delicious!" said Arieauna. "It was such a great day, I am so thankful to everyone involved in granting my wish and for Kids Wish Network who made this all possible."

Kids Wish Network would like to thank the following for making Arieauna's wish so memorable: Roseville Galleria Mall, Aveda Salon, Beachworks, Cheesecake Factory, Fossil, Skecher's, Westfield American Express, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Go! Games Go!, Jelly Belly, Juicy Couture, Naartjie, Down East Basics, Urban Outfitters, JC Penney, Socks & More, Esther's Cupcakes and Aeropostale.
