Sophia's Heart Rocklin at Destiny Church

(Rocklin, CA) -- Destiny Church of Rocklin is proud to announce the first recital performance of its new Sophia's Heart Rocklin: School of the Arts on Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Sophia's Heart Rocklin: School of the Arts is a tuition-free performing arts education program in the spirit of the Sophia's Heart programs started by American Idol finalist, Danny Gokey. Gokey performs with the students periodically as he has selected Destiny Church of Rocklin as his West Coast home. Enrolled students auditioned for the professional team of professors to secure their place in the program in August. Auditions for the spring term will take place in January. For more information please visit www.sophiasheartrocklin.com.

Sophia's Heart was the vision of Danny Gokey after he lost his wife, Sophia, to a heart condition. Her passion for helping children became his vision for this non-profit which has helped children across the U.S. find hope through various programs and services, such as the performing arts school at Destiny Church of Rocklin.

Destiny is excited to work alongside Gokey as they look for enthusiastic students from 6th to 12th grade who are ready to take their talent to the next level. Students admitted experience a positive and uplifting atmosphere, learn character development tools, benefit from professional tutoring if needed, and receive professional training from top performing arts coaches from around the nation. Students are required to maintain good grades at school while enrolled in the program. This incredible program is tuition-free to students admitted and auditions are open to any and all students in the greater Sacramento region.

"We are thrilled to be able to bring this high caliber performing arts school to the children of Rocklin and the greater Sacramento community," explained Rachel Storment, Sophia's Heart Rocklin Campus Director. "We have seen such growth in our students this semester and look forward to even more exciting opportunities for them to share their talent with the community in the spring."
