Crime Highlights

PETTY THEFTS - 5600 block Pacific St.
On 11/26 at 6:46 AM and at 7:06 AM a known suspect entered the business and stole alcohol.

COMMERCIAL BURLAGRY - 4400 block Pacific St
Unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a locked business yard and stole equipment.  The burglary occurred sometime 12/07-12/09 between 1400-0745hours.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY - Lookout Pass Ct / Sonora Pass
Unknown suspect(s) broke a window to unlock a door to a construction trailer.  The suspect(s) equipment.  The burglary occurred sometime 12/07-12/08 between 1600-0800 hours.

VANDALISM - 5900 block Kingwood Cr
Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a community mailbox.  At this time it is unknown if any mail was taken.  The vandalism occurred sometime on 12/09.  

PASS COUNTERFEIT MONEY - 2100 block Sunset Blvd
Unknown suspects attempted to use a fraudulent $20 bill to purchase food.  The suspects fled prior to PD arrival.  The fraud occurred on 12/09 at about 2215 hours.

VEHICLE BURGLARY - 6500 block Hearthstone Cr
Unknown suspect(s) broke out a window to the victim's vehicle and stole her purse.  The burglary occurred on 12/10 sometime between 0200-1245 hours. 

PETTY THEFT (FIREARM) - 4400 block Rocklin Rd
Unknown suspect(s) stole a small caliber handgun from the business safe.  It is unknown how the suspect(s) made entry to the safe.  The theft occurred sometime between 08/04-12/04 (four month time frame).

VEHICLE THEFT - Chalmette Ct / South Whitney Blvd
Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim's vehicle by unknown means.  The vehicle was stolen on 12/11 sometime between 1700-2100.  The vehicle was later recovered in Sacramento County.

BURGLARY - 5600 block Pacific St
A known suspect entered the business and attempted to return an item that was taken off of a store shelf.  The case is still under investigation.  The burglary occurred on 12/11. 

TRANSPORTATION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FOR SALE, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
On 12/10/2013 at about 0241 hours, officers made a traffic stop in the area of Highway 65 and Sunset Blvd.  During a search of the vehicle, an occupant was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.  Another occupant in the car was also believed to be under the influence of a controlled substance.  Both suspects were booked at the Placer County Jail.

CONCEAL A FIREARM WITHIN A VEHICLE, POSSESS A LOADED FIREARM ON A SCHOOL CAMPUS, POSSESS MARIJUANA FOR SALE, POSSESS MORE THAN 1OZ OF MARIJUANA
On 12/11/2013 at about 1038 hours, a security officer observed marijuana in plain view inside of vehicle within the Sierra College parking lot.  Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle and searched the interior of the car.  A large amount of marijuana and a small caliber handgun was found inside.  Additionally, evidence of marijuana sales was located.  The suspect was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail.

 BURGLARY -VEHICLE, 2400 Blk Pinnacles Drive
Unknown suspect forced open the rear sliding window of a pickup truck and removed miscellaneous property.  Occurred on 12-13-13 between 2400 and 0600 hours.

PETTY THEFT, 2700 Blk Genessee Drive
Unknown suspect removed package from front porch of residence after UPS delivered item.  Occurred between 12-4-13 and 12-5-13. 

PETTY THEFT, 5000 BLK Concord Road
Christmas light projection set stolen from the front yard of a residence by unknown suspect.  Occurred between 2030 hours on 12-12-13 and 0200 hours on 12-13-13. 

BURGLARY - VEHICLE  6300 BLK Prospect Mountain
Unknown suspect gained entry into two separate vehicles parked in front of the residence and removed miscellaneous items.  Occurred on 12-14-13 between 0100 and 0700 hours.

BURGLARY - COMMERCIAL  3101 Sunset Blvd
Officers responded to an alarm activation call at 0451 hours and found unknown suspects threw a large rock and shattered the front glass window to make entry.  Miscellaneous pharmaceuticals taken.  Occurred 12-15-13 at 0451 hours. 

HIT AND RUN, DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE, DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE
On 12/13 a female was involved in a minor traffic accident and decided to drive away prior to exchanging information.  However, the female dropped her driver's license at the scene and officers were able to immediately track her down and she was suspected of being under the influence and was booked into jail for both the hit and run, DUI, and an outstanding traffic warrant.  Arrested Sheila Annis, 09-13-71 of Lincoln.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA FOR SALE / TRANSPORT OF MARIJUANA / DUI- DRUGS / VIOLATION OF PAROLE
A vehicle stop at 0257 hours for lighting equipment violations, caused suspect Brian Berg to throw several pre-packaged baggies of marijuana out the window in hopes the officer would not notice.  Berg was booked into jail on the above charges.  Occurred on 12-15-13.  Arrested:  Bryan Berg, 9-19-76, Rocklin

 ATTEMPTED ROBBERY - 1100Blk Sedona St
The victim parked her vehicle in front of her residence and left the car unlocked.  She returned a short time later and found an unknown white male in his 20's sitting in the passenger side of the car.  When she yelled at him to get out of her car, the male pulled out a dark handgun and threatened the victim before running from the scene.   Occurred 12-16-13 at 2350 hours.
