Lincoln Author Tackles the English Language

LINCOLN, Calif. - To stop frustration from nonsensical English spelling and pronunciation confusion, Author Allan Kiisk releases his new book, "Simple Phonetic English Spelling," a language arts and discipline book that guides readers to the right path of English communication.

Kiisk's book is the solution for difficult and sometimes illogical rules of the English language. Formulated after extensive research and personal experience in learning several European languages, he has developed Simpel-Fonetik, a simple phonetic spelling system that eliminates difficult letter combinations and silent letters. Based on the alphabet system used by airline pilots, the Simpel-Fonetik writing method requires fewer letters, leaving many words unchanged, while others require only minor changes. Non-native English speakers and foreign language students will find this simplified version effective and easy to use, laying the foundation for in-depth study of the English language. Simple Phonetic English Spelling can be used for learning, teaching, and promoting the simple, practical, and proven method of Simpel-Fonetik.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Kiisk spent his childhood in Estonia and teenage years in Germany before coming to the United States. He obtained his electrical engineering education at Oregon State and Stanford Universities. He worked as an engineer and manager for the Corps of Engineers, as a professor of engineering at the University of Redlands, California, and as the principal engineer in his own consulting firm, Alkitek Associates. He and his wife, Karin, have traveled and lived in many countries. They have settled down near Sacramento, Calif., close to their children and grandchildren.
