Icing on the Cupcake Going Out of Business

Simple SHARE

Rocklin based Icing on the Cupcake is going out of business after 7 years due to economic hardship, according to a notice posted on their website.

At times, the business appeared to be defying the critics who wondered how much "dough" you could make to grow and sustain a local cupcake business.

People genuinely enjoyed them as much for their unique flavors as they did as novelty treats. The company was active in the community and their tasty treats were regularly spotted at local sporting events and business functions.

Priced at over $30 per dozen, the novelty factor and economics simply seems to have been too much.

Icing on the Cupcake Website Notice

After seven years in business, Icing on the Cupcake will be closing its doors January 2014 due to economic hardship.  We cannot thank you, our fans, enough for your support and loyalty.  We consider all of you a part of our Icing family.  We have enjoyed every second of our time in your community and have loved being a part of your celebrations through the years.

We hope you will stop in to say goodbye and enjoy one last smile in a box!
