Ruhkala Community Service Awards Nominations
Rocklin, CA -- Do you know someone who has given their time and effort to the Rocklin community? Do you know organizations, businesses or groups that have made significant contributions to Rocklin community improvement projects?
If so, the City of Rocklin is encouraging you to nominate them for the 2014 Ruhkala Community Service Awards.
Ruhkala Community Service Awards
The City of Rocklin created the Ruhkala Community Service Awards to remember two individuals, Roy and Peggy, who worked for the betterment of the Rocklin community for over 40 years. During those years they led or were involved in almost every community improvement activity.
The Roy and Peggy Ruhkala Community Service Awards recognize recent community service efforts of others in the Rocklin community.
There are four categories of awards:
Individual or Couple
This annual award is made to an individual or couple who have made a significant contribution to the Rocklin Community through community service.
Business, Group or Service Organization
This annual award is made to a business, group or service organization that has made a significant contribution to the Rocklin community through community service.
This award is made to an individual, 18 years old or younger, or a group or organization whose members are 18 years old or younger that have made a significant contribution to the Rocklin community through community service.
This award is made at the discretion of the City Council to individuals who have, over an extended period of time, made significant contributions to the Rocklin community through community service. This award is intended to recognize long-term commitment to the betterment of Rocklin.
The 2014 Ruhkala Community Service Awards will be presented on Thursday, April 20, 2014 at the Rocklin Event Center. The ceremony will start at 6:00 p.m.
How To Make a Nomination
Submit a written statement explaining the contributions the person, business, group, or youth you are nominating has made to the City of Rocklin. The nomination period will end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2014.
