Nationally acclaimed author and speaker Lee Strobel has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the ninth annual Northern California National Day of Prayer breakfast, which will take place at William Jessup University in Rocklin, CA, at 7 a.m., Thursday, May 1, 2014.   The event is presented by William Jessup University and K-LOVE Radio.

Strobel, who holds a law degree from Yale University, is a former award-winning legal editor with the Chicago Tribune and has authored more than 20 books. He is an atheist-turned-Christian who has been described in the Washington Post as "one of the evangelical community's most popular apologists." More information is available at www.LeeStrobel.com

"We are thrilled to once again offer a nationally celebrated keynote speaker in Lee Strobel," said event chairman John Allard.  "We have sold out this breakfast for the past five years, but can now grow thanks to the increased involvement of the university and K-LOVE.
K-LOVE adds the strength of being a national radio powerhouse, and WJU will livestream the event to select partner churches for the first time ever this year."

The National Day of Prayer takes place on the first Thursday of May every year.  Ann Graham Lott is the honorary national chairperson this year.  The 2014 theme is "One Voice, United in Prayer."

"It is our privilege to continue to support this national event as it provides a seamless blend with our inherent values as an institution of Christian higher education," said Jessup's President, Dr. John Jackson.

William Jessup University is the first and only WASC accredited private four-year Christian Liberal Arts University to have its main campus located in the greater Sacramento area, offering degrees in many different disciplines. In addition, the university offers a Master's of Arts in Teaching. WJU also has a School of Professional Studies, geared for working adults, at its campuses in Rocklin and San Jose.

Mike Novak, the president and CEO of K-LOVE and Air1 said, "The National Day of Prayer and K-LOVE go hand in hand.  To celebrate God's blessings and to honor His love and grace through prayer should always take center stage.  K-LOVE is honored and humbled to be part of The National Day of Prayer celebration at William Jessup University."

K-LOVE AND Air1 are the largest non-commercial contemporary Christian Music networks in the world, with 700 signals across 49 states with a weekly cumulative audience of 20- million listeners.  Their headquarters and studios are in Rocklin, CA, and all but the morning shows originate there.
