Sierra Gardens, theft: Overnight February 20/21, someone stole a paint sprayer and pressure washer from the bed of a pickup in the 1700 block of Quail Circle.

Lead Hill, arrests for passing counterfeit money and other charges: At 2:10 p.m. February 25, officers responded to a hotel in the 100 block of North Sunrise Avenue regarding guests who paid for a room with counterfeit bills. Officers contacted the suspects and searched their vehicles (one being a stolen rental truck), and found counterfeit money, heroin and drug paraphernalia, suspected stolen property, and a loaded handgun. They arrested a 35-year-old man, a 42-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, all from Citrus Heights for various related charges.

Maidu, weapons arrest: At 10:40 p.m. February 25, officers responded to West Colonial Parkway at Boston Commons Place, to a cab driver's report that a man had brandished a firearm at him and refused to pay the fare. Officers arrested the passenger, a 24-year-old Newcastle man, on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and other related weapons charges, and possession of methamphetamine and narcotic drugs.

Central Roseville, south of the tracks

Sexual assault: Around 7 p.m. February 23, in the area of Riverside Avenue and Cirby Way, an adult woman accepted a ride from two men she didn't know. Instead of taking her home, the men drove her to a parking lot near Douglas Boulevard and Sunrise Avenue and sexually assaulted her, then left her and drove away.   Full story

Central Roseville, north of the tracks

Roseville Heights, vandalism: At 3:04 a.m. February 27, officers responded to a report of yelling and glass breaking in the area of Lincoln Street and Pacific Street. They found a car with all its windows and sunroof broken out, but no suspects or witnesses around. Officers notified the car's owner, who elected to have the vehicle towed.

Kaseberg-Kingswood, residential burglary arrest: At about 5:40 p.m. February 24, a resident of Hollow Oaks Court came home and saw a stranger walking out of his garage. The man claimed to be looking for someone who didn't live there, and drove away. The resident found items missing from his garage, and called police. Officers stopped the suspect nearby and recovered the victim's property and other items of suspected stolen property, possibly from other garages in the neighborhood. The suspect, a 25-year-old Sacramento man, was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and possessing stolen property.

Kaseberg-Kingswood, garage burglaries: Overnight February 21-22, someone broke into garages at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of Kingswood Drive. The unknown suspect(s) forced down the top of the roll-up doors, reached in and pulled out the door's release cable, then opened the doors and stole items.

North Central Roseville

Industrial East, metal theft: Overnight February 20/21, someone broke into a fenced equipment yard in the 4400 block of Duluth Avenue and stole brass and copper items.

West Roseville

West Park, heroin arrests: At 11:24 p.m. February 20, officers responded to a report of people smoking heroin while driving in the area of Fiddyment Road and Pleasant Grove Boulevard. Roseville officers responded and stopped the suspect vehicle on Blue Oaks Boulevard at Fairway Drive. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Roseville, was arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin and driving under the influence of drugs. Her passengers, a 24-year-old woman from Rocklin and a 21-year-old man from Roseville were arrested on suspicion of possessing heroin and other related charges, and possessing stolen property.

West Park/Fiddyment Farms, construction site theft: At 4:50 a.m. February 21, an officer patrolling new home construction sites off of Fiddyment Road spotted a pickup coming out loaded with plywood. He stopped the truck and arrested the two occupants, a 32-year-old Roseville man and a 49-year-old man with no permanent address, on suspicion of possessing stolen property. The stolen plywood was returned to the owner.

West Park/Fiddyment Farms, suspicious person stopped: At 4:19 a.m. February 27, an officer stopped a truck on Fiddyment Road in the Fiddyment Farms area, and found the driver in possession of burglar's tools and gas siphoning equipment. The 37-year-old man from Citrus Heights was arrested.
