Crime Highlights

Vehicle Tampering - 600 block Menlo Drive
Unknown suspect(s) stole the rear license plate to the victim's vehicle.  The plate was later recovered on a confirmed stolen vehicle.  The case is still under investigation.  The theft of license plates occurred on 02/17/2014. 

Vehicle Burglary - 1300 block Ridgeview Circle
Unknown suspect(s) opened the closed truck bed of the victim's vehicle and stole numerous tools.  The burglary occurred sometime 03/02-03/03 between 2230-1200 hours. 

Grand Theft From A Vehicle - 5400 block Willowynd Court
Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole numerous items.  The theft occurred sometime 03/03-03/04 between 2200-1700 hours.

Stolen License Plates - 5000 block Rocklin Road
Unknown suspect(s) stole the rear license plates from the victim's car.  The theft occurred on 03/05 between 1030-1400 hours. 

Vandalism - 5600 block Lonetree Boulevard
Unknown suspect(s) broke out a window and also punctured a tire on the victim's car.  The vandalism occurred sometime 03/06-03/07 between 2100-0100 hours.

Vehicle Burglary - 6600 Lonetree Blvd
Unknown suspect gained access to the victim's locked truck and removed two subwoofers and two speaker boxes.  Occurred between 1925 hours and 2058 hours on 3-8-14. 

Driving Under The Influence, Driving On A Suspended License 4200 block Sierra College Boulevard
On 03/03/2014 at about 2147 hours, officers responded to a female slumped behind the steering wheel of her truck, blocking a restaurant  drive-through.  Officers arrived and quickly determined the female was under the influence and was driving on a suspended license due to a previous DUI conviction.  The female driver was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail on the listed charges.  Arrested Debra Ryan-Tonelli, 55 years old, from Stockton                                                                       

Felony Warrant, Possession Of Narcotics Paraphernalia, Possession Of More Tha 28.5g Of Marijuana - 5000 block Rocklin Road
On 03/07/2014 at about 0030 hours, officers responded to the 5000 block of Rocklin Road for a report of several suspicious persons in the parking lot of several closed businesses.  Officers arrived and located the subjects.  One subject was found to have a felony warrant for his arrest.  With the assistance of a Police Canine from the Roseville Police Department, a search of an associated vehicle was completed.  During the search narcotics paraphernalia and a large amount of marijuana was found.  The suspect was arrested and booked at the Placer County Jail for his warrant.
Arrested: Jacob Shimnoski, 23 years old, from Grass Valley 

Commercial Burglary - 6640 Lonetree Blvd
Over the course of two days, Loss Prevention personnel watched as the suspect selected merchandise and hid inside hunting tents while using a merchandise "tagging gun" to change prices on selected items.  Officers detained the suspect in his car while he was in the process of using the "tagging gun" and determined the suspect changed the price of a $599.00 jacket to less than $15.00 before approaching the cash register and presenting the item for payment.  The suspect was booked into the Placer County Jail on burglary charges.  Reported on 3-8-14

Possession Of Controlled Substance, Possession Of Narcotic Paraphernalia, Under The Influence Of A Controlled Substance
4400 block Rocklin Road
On 3-7-14 at 2117 hours, officers responded to a call of an occupied vehicle parked to the rear of a hotel parking lot away from all other vehicles.  Officers contacted the occupants and immediately saw narcotic paraphernalia strewn about the car.  Further investigation revealed one of the subjects was under the influence of a controlled substance.  A search of his clothing incident to arrest, revealed a small amount of suspected narcotics. Arrested: Samuel Morgan, 21 from Rocklin

 Possession Narcotic Controlled Substances, Possession Of Marijuana, Possession Of Narcotics For Sale - 2400 block Carr Court
On 3-8-14 at 1133 hours, officers responded to check on the welfare of two male subjects who appeared to be passed out in a residential front yard.  Upon initial contact, neither subject was responsive to the officer's attempts to rouse them.  After several moments, one of the two men started to respond and acted irrationally.  Fire and Paramedics responded to treat the men for a possible overdose.  Officers located several various narcotic pills on both men as well as inside the open residence.   Both men refused medical treatment and were booked into the Placer County Jail on the above listed charges.
Arrested: Brenden Fassler, 23 out of Rocklin, and Derek Bayless, 24 out of Auburn

Possession Of Controlled Substance, Possession Narcotic Paraphernalia 4400 block Rocklin Road
On 3-8-14 at 2019 hours, officers conducted a probation search on a hotel customer.  A search of the hotel room and belongings revealed both drug paraphernalia and illegal substances.  The suspect was booked into Placer County Jail on the above charges.
Arrested: Jennifer Roberson, 37 out of Rocklin

 Burglary - Commercial, Willful Cruelty To A Child - 2300 block Sunset Blvd
The suspect entered a grocery store along with four of her children and proceeded to select items.  The suspect moved to a display area and concealed the items in her clothing while the children stood around her to create a visual barrier.  The woman and her children left the store making no attempt to pay for the merchandise.  As store security approached the woman, three of the children were able to make their way into a waiting vehicle which then sped out of the parking lot.  The woman was placed under arrest on the above charges and the child who remained with her was turned over to CPS.
Arrested: Ileana Ilie, 30 out of Sacramento

Possession Of Prescription Drugs, False Id To Police Officer, Parole Violation - 2200 block Sunset Blvd
On 3-11-14 at 0200 hours, the suspect was pulled over for a traffic violation and repeatedly lied about his identity fearing he had an outstanding warrant.  The suspect was finally identified and was surprised to hear he wasn't wanted.  However, after finding the suspect in possession of prescription drugs - not prescribed to him, it was determined that the suspect's parole officer did want him taken to jail on the above charges.  The suspect is on parole for assault with a machine gun.
