On June 17, 2013 the Amador County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported armed robbery in Pine Grove. Amador County Sheriff's Deputies searched the area but were unsuccessful in locating the three suspects. Amador County Sheriff's Detectives interviewed the victims and conducted the crime scene investigation and follow up.

The victims reported to detectives that they were suffering financial hardships and invited the suspects to their home to sell medical marijuana they had cultivated. Upon arrival after a brief period of socialization, the suspects produced firearms. The suspects then stole approximately four pounds of processed marijuana, marijuana smoking paraphernalia, cash, a .410 shotgun and a cellular telephone before fleeing the area. The victims were not physically injured.

Based upon information obtained from the victims and the forensic examination of evidence collected at the crime scene, Amador County Sheriff's Detectives were able to identify one suspect as 20 year old Rocklin resident, Jorge Alfredo Collado, and a second suspect as 21 year old, Raoul Schonton Sheridan Rodriguez, from Richmond, Virginia.

Collado was contacted by Sheriff's Detectives and provided a statement regarding his involvement in this incident. Rodriguez and the unidentified third suspect could not be located and it is believed that they fled to Virginia after the commission of the crime.

Following the interview with Collado, the criminal case was presented to the Amador County District Attorney's Office. Based upon the Sheriff's Office investigation, the Amador County District Attorney's Office filed a complaint and on January 17, 2014 an Amador Superior Court Arrest Warrant was issued for both Collado and Rodriguez alleging felony violations of California Penal Code (PC) sections 209(b)(1), kidnapping to commit robbery; PC 211, robbery; PC 459, burglary; PC 245(a)(2), assault with a firearm; PC 487(d)(2), grand theft of a firearm; and several special allegations due to the use of a firearm during the commission of the crimes.

On the morning of March 6, 2014 Amador County Sheriff's Detectives located Collado at a business on Granite Drive in Rocklin. Collado was arrested without incident and was transported to the Amador County Jail for booking, with bail set at $1,000,000.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation or the whereabouts of Rodriguez is asked to contact the Amador County Sheriff's Office at (209) 223- 6500 or Amador County Secret Witness at (209) 223-4900.
