Thunder Valley Hires New Vice President of Finance

Lincoln, CA - Thunder Valley Casino Resort announced today that Scott Rapoport, an industry leader in gaming property accounting and finance, has been named Vice President of Finance. 

"Scott brings a valuable perspective from his many years of experience in the gaming industry. We look forward to the contributions that he will make in his pivotal role as we continue to diversify our product offerings and amenities ensuring we remain the #1 premier destination resort in Northern California," said Thunder Valley General Manager Dawn Clayton.

 Rapoport is excited for the new opportunity saying, "Thunder Valley Casino Resort has a strong leadership team that has led it to become a AAA four-diamond accredited property and one of the most successful casinos in the world. I look forward to being a part of the team and to continue all of the great things Thunder Valley has done for the gaming industry and the region."

 Rapoport brings over fifteen years of experience in the gaming industry, specializing in accounting, finance and development.  He is a licensed CPA with four years of experience in public accounting, 11 years of operational experience with Station Casinos, Inc. and a year of independent consulting experience.

 While at Station Casinos, Rapoport served in various top management positions at several Station properties, including Controller, Director of Finance, Director of Development, Corporate Director of Central Accounting and Vice President of Finance.  Rapoport was directly responsible for the Accounting, Cage, Count, Compliance, Purchasing and Warehouse functions at each of his properties.  He was also a key executive involved in the development of several Native American casinos while serving as Corporate Director of Development.

 Rapoport currently resides in El Dorado Hills. Rapoport graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  He earned is CPA license shortly after graduating while working for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP and retains an active license even to this day.
