Boneshaker Gives Rocklin First Brewpub

On Friday, April 25th, 2014 at 11:00am Boneshaker Community Brewery opened the doors to its 4500 square foot restaurant and brewery to the public at 4810 Granite Drive Suite A-1 in Rocklin, CA.

Boneshaker Community Brewery represents the second phase in the vision of founder and proprietor, JJ Anderson who also owns and operates Boneshaker Public House, an award-winning craft beer pub and eatery in Rocklin.

The Sacramento-born Anderson returned to the area in 2011 with the desire to bring great craft beer to an underserved market.  The opening of the Public House, with 20 rotating taps did just that and its success allowed for Boneshaker to move forward on opening its newest venture.

"Having spent seven years in Oregon in the craft beer capital of the world, it seemed very desolate here with craft-beer centric eateries and pubs and we also had fewer breweries for 2.1 million people in the greater Sacramento-area than we had for 150,000 people in Central Oregon.  It has been fun and rewarding to be part of the craft-beer growth here in Sacramento.  There have been more breweries and craft beer joints opening in the past two years and we're looking forward to contributing to that community," said Anderson.

Boneshaker has assembled a top-tier team including brew-master Aldred (Al) Griffin, who spent the past decade with Rubicon Brewing and previously brewed with Sac Brewing; Executive Chef Corey Belanger, who spent four years as the Sous Chef at Paul Martin's in Roseville, and General Manager Susan Pasquetti (Anderson's mother), who operated Staccato at the Firehall, an award-winning fine dining restaurant in Bend, Oregon.

"Each member of our management team shares the same commitment to quality.  We are merging a creative brewery utilizing a small (3.5 barrel) system to keep an ever-rotating list of beers on tap and a kitchen that produces an eclectic menu all made from scratch.  It will definitely be a unique beer and culinary experience."

The brewery and restaurant is open from 11:30am-10:00pm Monday through Thursday, 11:30am-11:00pm Friday and Saturday and 11:30am-9:00pm on Sunday  In addition the main dining areas and bar, the space also offers a small full service patio, a private room for 12-14 patrons and a bier garden patio with seating for in excess of 100 patrons.  In late May, the adjacent 1500 space will be opened with a small stage for live music and comedy, as well as private events.
