Public Input Sought at Sierra College Scoping Meeting
Rocklin, CA-- The Sierra College Rocklin Campus will hold a Public Scoping meeting on Wednesday evening, May 7, 2014 from 6-7 pm in the Board Room, LR-133. The meeting will be held to solicit public and agency comments on the scope and content of the Draft EIR. Verbal and/or written comments may also be presented at the Public Scoping meeting.
The proposed Rocklin Campus Facilities Master Plan describes a 20-year development program which includes demolition of certain existing structures, construction of new structures, and rehabilitation of numerous existing structures. Plan components include both near-term and long- term projects. Near-term projects are those which the College anticipates will be funded within a period of approximately five years and are considered to have a higher degree of certainty than other components in the Master Plan. Near term components include the following: Child Development Center, Science Building, North Parking Structure, and a re-designed Fire Lane. Details of these and other Project components are provided in the complete Notice of Preparation (NOP), which can be found on the Sierra College website at http://www.sierracollege.edu/about-us/admin-services/facilities/index.php
There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits are available at dispensers located on the campus parking lot.
The College requests that comments in response to this notice be submitted no later than 30 days after receipt of the Notice of Preparation (NOP). Comments in response to this NOP will be accepted through May 29, 2014. Written comments should be addressed to the person noted below.
