Water Supply Projects Receive Grants in Placer County

AUBURN -- Financial assistance grants to four local community water supply projects were recently approved by the Placer County Water Agency Board of Directors.

 The 2014 grants include:

  • $10,000 to the Auburn Valley Community Services District toward repair or replacement of one of the District's wells.
  • $5,000 to the Foresthill Public Utility District for a system security study and update.
  • $20,000 to the Midway Heights County Water District toward a master water metering project.
  • $5,000 to the Talmont Resort Improvement District at Lake Tahoe for a project to rebuild a district pump station.

The four funded projects share a total $40,000 made available through this year's PCWA Financial Assistance Program for Districts.

Since 1993, PCWA has granted more than $1.5 million to local water purveyors in Placer County.
