Rocklin Public Safety Fair May 31st
The Rocklin Police Department, in conjunction with the local businesses and property owners, working together with the Rocklin Fire Department and the Rocklin Public Safety Volunteers Inc, are hosting a Public Safety Fair on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 10am to 5pm.
The event will be held at 5514-5600 Pacific St (between Sunset Blvd and Farron St.) in Rocklin.
The event is open to everyone. Many of the displays will address areas of interest to elementary, middle, and high school children, their parents and their families: Child ID, Hands Only CPR, and Child Safety, and. There will also be displays for seniors and Senior Safety, including Neighborhood Watch and Home Security. All age groups can enjoy police and fire vehicles that will be on display and Police K9 demonstrations are scheduled for 2:30 PM.
Other events include a Bicycle Rodeo (children are encouraged to bring their bicycles and helmets) held throughout the day, Creeper/Crawler trucks on display (demonstration at 3:30 PM), electronic basketball, bounce houses, raffle (prizes donated by local businesses) and two dunk tanks with local school representatives and the Rocklin Police Chief participating from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The top three schools that raise the most money at the "Dunkin Donuts" dunk tanks will be awarded with a donation to their local PTA/ASB.
This fair benefits the Rocklin Public Safety Volunteers, Inc and the Sierra College Auto Club, both local non-profits.
