Free Drip Irrigation Workshop June 7th in Granite Bay

Granite Bay, Calif. - As summer approaches, high-efficiency drip irrigation systems are critical for property owners that want to reduce water use and preserve landscaping.

Hosted by San Juan Water District on June 7, the Drip Irrigation Workshop will demonstrate how to install drip irrigation systems and modify existing spray-head systems to drip. Attendees will also learn how simple irrigation upgrades can qualify them for rebates on their material costs.

"Installing a drip irrigation system is a great way for property owners to reduce their water use, "said Judy Johnson, SJWD customer service manager. "Drip irrigation delivers a slow supply of water directly to where plants need it most while eliminating water waste caused by evaporation and run-off."

The workshop starts at 9 a.m. in San Juan's Water Efficient Landscape (WEL) Garden. Experts will demonstrate best practices for drip irrigation installation and simple steps for modifying existing spray-head systems to drip.
