Rocklin Child ID Program Surpasses 9,000 Kids

During the City of Rocklin's "Ramble" obstacle course earlier this month, Rocklin's Public Safety Volunteers enrolled the 9,000th child into its popular Child ID program.  The Child ID program was initiated in 2005 and has enrolled an average of 1,000 children each year since its inception.

Child ID kits consist of a current picture of the child, fingerprints, a hair sample, instructions for DNA collection, dental records chart, and educational materials designed to enhance a child's safety.

The Child ID team is comprised completely of volunteers who attend most local community events with the goal of enrolling and educating Rocklin's youth and providing parents added peace of mind.

For more information, contact Child ID program director, Becky Kanowski at furn148@att.net.
