Auburn Woman Attacked Inside Home
Placer County sheriff's detectives are looking for a man who attacked a woman at her north Auburn home early this morning.
At 1:18 a.m., the woman was outside her home on Quartz Drive when she was approached by a white male in his late 20s or early 30s. The man exhibited a weapon and forced the woman into her apartment where he physically assaulted her. He went through her home and took some items before fleeing the area on foot.
The victim said the suspect had very bad acne scars, was about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with dark eyes. She did not see the color of his hair because he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. The sweatshirt was gray and zipped up the front. He also wore blue jeans and black shoes. He had scruffy facial hair and had very strong body odor.
Anyone who may know this suspect is urged to contact Placer County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-923-8191 or online at www.placercrimestoppers.com. All contact with Crime Stoppers remains anonymous. Callers are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the tip leads to an arrest.
