High Marks for Sierra College Energy Tech Students

Rocklin, CA- The Sierra College Energy Technology students who took the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners Entry-level exam in June 2014, all passed. (100% pass rate)

For the last five years students in the program have achieved an average pass rate of 91% on the NABCEP Entry-level exam.  National pass rates for the exam average between 50 and 60%, meaning that Sierra has one of the highest pass rates in America. Women, who make up 10% of the students in the program, have maintained a 100% pass rate.

The NABCEP Entry Level Program is designed for those individuals wanting to get into the solar field; achievement of the NABCEP Entry Level Exam is a way for candidates to demonstrate that they have achieved a basic knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design, installation and operation of PV and Solar Heating systems.

Beginning this fall, Sierra College's Energy Technology has merged with the Construction Program to create the newly formed Construction and Energy Technology Program (CET).  The program has also recently received approval from the California Community College Chancellor's Office to offer an Associate's Degree in Energy Technology.

Fall classes begin August 25 and there are still open seats in the entry-level solar installation class CET 40. To apply and register for the fall 2014 semester, go here

For more information or help with the application and registration process, contact the student support center, "The Hub" at: hub@sierracollege.edu or call: 916-660-7300.
