Lacrosse Recruiting Showcase in Roseville May 29-31
Rocklin, CA - Swashbuckler Lacrosse is thrilled to announce their first ever Laxapalooza Recruiting Showcase that will take place at Maidu Park in Roseville on May 29-31.
This action-filled event will take place over the course of three days and feature age groups U9 through High School Elite Boys and U11 through High School Elite Girls. More than 30 colleges will be on-hand from all over the nation at this recruiting showcase. Placer Valley Tourism is excited to be partnering with Swashbuckler Lacrosse to bring this major lacrosse tournament to Placer Valley.
Games will start on Saturday morning with three seeding games and all teams will play at least five games throughout the tournament. Sunday morning the playoffs start with a double elimination style of play. The winning teams are invited to play in Dick's Sporting Goods Tournament of Champions in Florida on New Year's Eve.
The acclaimed lacrosse college recruiter and author for Inside Lacrosse, Ken Miller of Long Island Everest Lax Recruits, will be speaking on the recruiting process at the fully catered banquet on Friday evening where all high school players, their parents and the coaches are invited to attend.
April Van Patten, Director of Events for Swashbuckler Lacrosse, explained that this tournament provides much more than just college recruiters coming to games and looking at player stats. "At Swashbuckler the focus is on matching the player with the right college for the level of play they are looking for and teaching players how to get noticed through seminars and meetings with top-level recruiters," added Van Patten.
Along with being a major recruiting event, this tournament is also a huge fundraising effort for the Autism on the Seas organization. There will be a photo booth where fifty percent of all proceeds will go directly to the fundraiser and a dunk tank where the coaches are sure to get wet while raising money for a great cause. Come check out all the action.
