Rocklin, CA - The Pacific Association Youth Championships (PAC) for track and field will take place at Whitney High School in Rocklin on May 30-31.

More than 12,000 youth athletes, ages 7 to 18 are expected to compete at this impressive event hosted by Revolution Express Track Club in partnership with Placer Valley Tourism.  All competitors are members of the USA Track & Field (USATF) Pacific Association, which is the largest youth track and field program in Northern California.

The PAC championships will serve as a wrap-up for their spring season and the athletes competing have been preparing for this since the first weekend in March.  Although this is not a qualifying meet for the Junior Olympics, it does serve as great preparation meet for the Junior Olympics qualifying meet which will also take place at Whitney High School on June 13-14.

Meet Director, Maura Kent, is excited about the level of competition this meet provides USATF youth participants.  "This is a full youth track meet, with everything except steeplechase and hammer; we have some amazing field athletes as well as great hurdlers and open running competitors," explained Kent.

Athletes from as far north as the California-Oregon border down to as far south as San Luis Obispo and even into Northern Nevada will arrive in Placer Valley the last weekend in May for this amazing event at Whitney High Schools's state-of-the-art track and field facility. The field events will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the running events start at 9 a.m. This event is free to spectators so come check it out as the PAC Championships always provides outstanding action.
