Construction and Trades Job Fair this Saturday
Region's Only Construction and Trades Job Fair to Returns to Sacramento on Saturday
Sacramento, CA- For the fourth year in a row, the North State Building Industry Foundation will hold its annual Skilled Trades Job Fair this Saturday, April 21.
The Skilled Trades Job Fair is the only area hiring event geared specifically to workers and employers in home building and construction trades including HVAC, plumbing, framing, concrete, electrical, solar, and more. Over 30 employers from around the Sacramento area will be attending and hiring for a multitude of positions including entry-level labor, project management, and support staff.
The Job Fair will be held from 9-11 a.m. at the Citrus Heights Community Center, 6300 Fountain Square Drive. Previous years have seen over 200 applicants show up ready to work, and the Foundation expects a higher number this year. Other positions being recruited for include engineering, drivers, and plant operations.
As an added bonus this year to the adult job fair, from 12-2 p.m. on the same day, in the same location, the Foundation is holding a hiring event for graduating high school seniors who will be turning 18 this summer. Seventeen trade employers will be onsite hiring grads into entry-level trades positions - everything from foundation to finishing work. More than 100 positions will be available to the students.
NSBIF is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to ending the shortage of skilled trades workers in Sacramento by working to provide community service, workforce development, and meaningful industry research in support of and partnership with the homebuilding industry. NSBIF is a closely held charitable extension of the North State Building Industry Association.
