Roseville Motorcycle crash on Galleria Blvd, one dead

articles_090208e.jpgOn September 2, 2008, at approximately 2:30 p.m.  a 21-year old riding northbound  on a Honda motorcycle on Galleria Blvd (between the Olive Garden and Westfield Galleria Mall) crashed into the side of a late model Mercedes attempting to make a left hand turn on Galleria Blvd. According to Roseville Police Officer Jerry Wernli, Emergency crews responded and prounced the 21-year old deceased.  The driver of the Mercedes was a 65-year old woman who complained of some pain but did not appear to have major injuries.

The southbound lanes of Galleria Blvd will be closed into the evening and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes. The road is expected to be opened to traffic by approximately 8:30 p.m. this evening.

Traffic Advisory from City of Roseville
Shortly after 2:40 p.m. today, Roseville Police officers closed the southbound lanes of Galleria Boulevard from Antelope Creek Drive to Roseville Parkway, next to the mall, while the department's Major Accident Investigation Team investigates a fatal traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan. Motorists are urged to take alternate routes around the collision site.
