May 18, 2009, Auburn – Artist-in-residence Terrie  Rockwell will host "Modern Mythology and the Story of Cocreation" at The Arts Building at 7:00pm on Friday, June 5.

On the first Friday of each month The Arts Building Gallery is transformed into downtown Auburn’s newest entertainment venue, when the building’s eight artists-in-residence host a free art event.

Terrie will explore how artists are influenced by myth and symbols, and how our actions, thoughts and choices direct the course of modern humanity.

She will use the images of the Tarot to demonstrate silkscreening, cocreating a series of silkscreen prints with the input of participants.

Other First Friday activities include a drum & music jam with T.B. Wilson (bring an instrument), photography by Scott Wilson, Tarot Readings by Karen Barberick, refreshments and no-host wine bar.

A companion series of Silkscreening Workshops will be offered on Saturdays in June, starting June 6 at 1:00pm at 195 Hidden Glen Dr, Auburn, CA 95603.
