Commentary The stories almost always share the same underlying message and goes something like this - Newspapers are dying almost everywhere, advertisers are moving away from print and taking the readers with them. ....yawn. Today, CNN cited a recent report from the highly acclaimed Pew Internet and American Life Project that confirms for the "umpteenth" time that print newspapers best days are long gone as people prefer hitching their wagons to the Internet over print. Print newspapers better known for monoplies and not innovation are quickly following in the footsteps of another legacy print product, the printed yellow pages. You know those several huge books that get dropped on your driveway for free (whether you want them or not) and are often just as quickly filed into the recycling bin. Selling that reality to business advertisers who pay huge sums is a job I don't envy. There is hope, for even in the future, I suspect that for every lonely driveway there is a newspaper or book ready to keep it company. Agree or Disagree? ADD YOUR COMMENT?
