Auburn and Tahoe Land Use Counters to Close for Upgrades

The Placer County Community Development/Resource Agency will close its public counters in Auburn and Tahoe on Friday, May 30th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm as part of a project to upgrade the County's land-use software.

County technological staff will use the time to migrate data, test, and implement the upgraded land-use permitting system.

Although the current land-use permitting system is functional, the County seeks to enhance customer service by upgrading to a system that will offer an increased level of vendor support and additional functional software enhancements necessary to manage land-use permits and land-based information. Staff anticipates the new system will be ready to "go live" in early June.

The closure will only affect land-use permitting counter services. Reception at both locations will still be available to assist customers with non-land-use needs. For more information, please contact Community Development at (530) 745-3000.
