Wind Ensemble Concert in Rocklin March 16

ROCKLIN, Calif., - The William Jessup University Community Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Van B. Crane, will present a Spring Concert on Tuesday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. on the William Jessup University Campus. 

The concert features a wide variety of music from Bartok’s “Evening in the Country” to “Be Thou My Vision”, a traditional hymn set for band. The Wind Ensemble will also participate in the university’s annual Spring Concert on Thursday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. 

Donations for the Wind concert can be made at the door the evening of the concert: $10 per person or $15 per family and students with ID cards, $5.  

The Wind Ensemble is completing its second year of existence as WJU is expanding its instrumental music offerings.  Comprised of musicians from the university and community ranging in age from 16 to 80 plus years, the Ensemble is open to qualified musicians who have a desire to lend their time and talents to this fun, exciting and rewarding endeavor.  

Open to all who wish to join, the Ensemble rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. and will continue through the summer.  Interested musicians should contact Van Crane at (916) 253-3718 or vcrane@jessup.edu..
